This part of the country has not fallen in love with pho yet. This was the only place I could find.
Charlottesville, you need to eat here. It is a pretty darn good bowl of pho. The menu is very short, which to me is a plus. Not cluttered up.
I got the combination pho, hubs got the sliced beef. We also had the spring rolls. All very good. The pho came with the usual accompaniments- basil, houses, sriracha, limes and jalapeños.
Our server was great. The restaurant was clean and pleasant. They have a full bar, if you are so inclined. -

Went to lunch and it wasn't that busy at the time. Good friendly service and I had a bowl of bun no hue. The menu is 1 page, which makes decisions fast. There's also a full bar as well which I did not partake in at the time. The vibe feels like a Vietnamese food for the younger crowds. I enjoyed it.
Pros: slim down menu, fast and friendly service, good taste, great condiments, good atmosphere
Cons: needed a little more shrimp paste, but I should have asked. -

I know pho gets a bad rap in Cville, but I'm no pho connoisseur, so I just have to go off my tastebuds when it comes to these things.
My husband and I tried Pho3Pho after hearing about it opening, and we've only been once, but when we went we both got the pho dac biet, which I think has flank, brisket and tendon there. Our food came out fast and our service was friendly and efficient, though we took it away, so our time in the restaurant was limited.
When we got home to enjoy the pho it was still piping hot and they had included all the necessary toppings, but my only complaints were that, compared to my favorite local pho place, Pho 3 pho is a little skimpier on the toppings and just gave a couple sprigs of basil and a smaller amount of sprouts, etc. The prices are just slightly higher as well, but if pho3pho is a more convenient location to you, the price difference isn't enough to justify a longer trip.
I thought the taste of the broth was nice and rich, but maybe not the best I've ever had.
If I'm craving pho and I'm out running errands that direction up 29 north, I'd swing by again. -

Got #7 grilled pork rice vermicelli. Comes with pickled carrots, lettuce, and cucumber add a nice refreshing crunch texture. Delicious.

My friends and I stopped in here after hiking Old Rag. This place is so delicious. I like that the menu is simple and the service is quick. The portions here are big. I got the chicken Pho and egg rolls.
